IN THIS
EPISODE.

What happens to your mind after 28 days alone in total darkness? I sat down with Traver Boehm, author of Man Uncivilized and founder of the Uncivilized community for men, who spent a month in a pitch-black room on a concrete floor and came out with a full acceptance of death.

Traver tells me how his divorce led to a year lived as if it were his last, the dream on night eight that made him fall apart, and why he calls toxic masculinity a myth and points to hurt boys who grow up into hurt men. We also get into his move from Connecticut to Tokyo at age 10, what Division One swimming and pro fighting taught him about pain, and his rule to be dangerous, but not a danger.

Stay for his answer on the meaning of life, shaped by a year sitting with people in hospice.
