The conversation

IN THIS
EPISODE.

How do you turn a backyard party into a 10,000 person festival? I sat down with event promoter and marketer Corey Topp, who was working as a plumber when Reminisce started as a house classics countdown for about 30 mates in a backyard.

Corey tells me how he sold festival giants Hardware on the dream with a deck, and how they sold two and a half thousand tickets on day one for the jump to the Music Bowl in Melbourne. We also get into his four audience types, how he found 350 keen people for his Super Bowl festival before it had a name, and COVID cancelling the show six days out with $100k of his and his best mate's money in it.

He also opens up about life without drinking in a party industry, and why a dollar from every ticket goes to Alzheimer's research.
