The conversation

IN THIS
EPISODE.

Could the lights in your office and the phone in your hand be wrecking your sleep? I sat down with Daniel Ebbett, founder of Block Blue Light, who went from fit powerlifter to insomnia and severe migraines about two months into a graduate IT job in Sydney.

When doctors had no answers, Daniel treated his body like an IT system and hunted for the root cause. He explains the light receptors in your eyes that tell your brain it is daytime, why he says most cheap blue light glasses miss the 450 to 460 nanometre band your screens give off, and why he says you need a day lens plus a red or amber one after sunset.

We also get into building the business beside his day job, testing a new country before stocking it, and the 3,000 pairs of glasses he oiled by hand with a syringe.
