ABOUT THE EPISODE
How do you get a total stranger to open up on camera? I sat down with New York street interviewer Eric Jeng, a former finance worker who started a YouTube channel during the pandemic and now tells the stories of the people who make up the city.
Eric shares the grieving mother he met on his stoop after about 20 people said no, why he sees curiosity as a form of care, and the early videos that took 100 hours to make and got 100 views. We get into the first three seconds of a good short, the morning pages habit he took from The Artist's Way, his Christian faith, and why he chose celibacy.
You'll walk away with a kinder way to see rejection, because Eric treats every no as a redirection.
