The Simpsons Secrets From The Golden Age - Showrunner Bill Oakley Tells All

What was it like inside The Simpsons writers' room during its golden age? I sat down with Bill Oakley, the Emmy winning writer who ran The Simpsons with his best friend Josh Weinstein through seasons 7 and 8.

Bill tells how one phone call from their agent landed them the job, the habit that gets you hated in a writers' room, and why they wanted Barney to be the one who shot Mr Burns. He explains how Steamed Hams sat forgotten for 20 years until Australians started calling Woolworths to ask for them, and why he says 80% of the Simpsons predictions you see online are fake.

We also get into his second act in food, from his Steamie Awards and regional American food dinners to the Steamed Hams trademark he now holds.
